My Priorities for a Stronger District 5
“As your neighbor, I understand the unique challenges and opportunities facing District 5. I’m running for City Council because I believe my experience and dedication can make a real difference in our community.”
Restoring Trust and Ethical Governance
- I believe that transparency and accountability are essential for effective local government. I will be committed to open communication, ethical decision-making, and ensuring that the voices of District 5 residents are heard and respected at City Hall.
- I will advocate for policies that promote transparency in city operations and ensure that our elected officials are held to the highest ethical standards.
Community Preservation and Enhancement
- My vision for District 5 centers on Community Preservation and Enhancement. This involves a dedicated effort to maintain its unique character and protect property values.
- I will prioritize safeguarding our neighborhoods, enhancing the quality of life for all residents, and ensuring our community’s well-being through strong local services, safe streets, and a thriving environment.
Enhancing Community Safety
- The safety and well-being of our residents are paramount. I will work with law enforcement and community organizations to address crime and enhance public safety initiatives in District 5.
- This may include supporting community policing efforts, investing in public safety resources and addressing the root causes of crime.
Improving Quality of Life
- I am committed to enhancing the quality of life for all District 5 residents. This includes advocating for improvements to our local infrastructure (roads, sidewalks, parks), supporting access to community resources, and fostering a vibrant and welcoming environment.
- I believe in listening to the people and addressing their concerns like the road conditions on Dorchester Road, traffic congestion, flooding in Dorchester Waylyn and Wando Woods and Supporting the elderly with home repairs.
